Hoowla

Hoowla is a practice management system that happens to include compliance, rather than a compliance tool that happens to include case management. The centre of gravity is the matter itself — tasks, documents, client communication and legal accounting in one file — with AML and fraud checks run through a third-party integration (Confirmly) rather than built natively.

Position

The per-completed-case pricing on conveyancing work — with no charge for a matter that opens and then falls through — shifts risk onto Hoowla rather than the firm, which is a different commercial model to the seat-licensed practice management systems it otherwise resembles. Firms already using tmgroup or Credas for searches and identity checks can run Hoowla around them as the case file; the products are not mutually exclusive.
